An abstract image I created from a beautiful oceanfront room at sunset at La Jolla Shores beach. A technique called intentional camera movement was used to create a painterly, abstract feel to this special image.

Water has always been something that has relaxed me for some reason. Photographing water also has the same effect on me and it's something I'm just drawn to with my camera. I captured this on a whale watch off the coast of Maui and while I was supposed to be looking for whales, I found myself mesmerized by the movement and reflections in the water and had to capture this.
This scene along the windward side of Oahu is something special. The Ko'olau mountains in the background mixed with this amazing beach combines for a classic Hawaii landscape.
One of my favorite scenes in California is the view down Scripps Pier in La Jolla. After days of cloudy skies, I was rewarded with a beautiful California sunset for my patience.

The beauty of the north shore on the island of Oahu speaks for itself. At sunrise, this amazing scene at Kaaawa Beach had the perfect pastel colors to showcase this amazing place.

Mornings in Hawaii can be very special. I had found this beautiful boat as a subject the night before and returned at sunrise to find it so calm and serene to where the water is like a mirror. Endless beauty
A classic Ka'anapali Beach scene I came across at sunset and just had to capture the beauty of this iconic beach. The waves and the boats in the background just really complete this photograph.

A perfect slice of serenity at the beautiful Makena Cove on the island of Maui
This little pocket of paradise on the north shore of Kauai has an amazing view down Na Pali and has some of the nicest golden sand I've felt. I liked this vertical composition showcasing the sand, a black lava rock wall, and the view down the beautiful coast.
Two waves collide along the Na Pali coast reminding me of a glass sculpture. This was a very special capture as no other waves seemed to have this beautiful synchrony. Being backlit by the setting sun here really makes for some special colors.
